הנכם מוזמנים לסמינר מחלקתי מיוחד של המחלקה להוראת המדעים ומכון דוידסון שייערך ביום א' 11.11.12 בשעה 15:30 באולם הברוז (מרכז ויצמן למדע), Designing Knowledge Integration Guidance to Deepen Understanding מרצה פרופ' מרשה לין, ![]() Prof. Marcia Linn, University of California, Berkeley, Graduate School of Education The Continuous Learning and Automated Scoring in Science (CLASS) project, funded by the National Science Foundation is exploring new automated guidance features using the Web-based Inquiry Science Environment (WISE). We have compared knowledge integration, specific, general, and teacher generated guidance. In a series of studies, we investigated automated analysis of concept maps, ETS’s c-rater technology, and automated analysis of student drawings. Using these technologies WISE can give automated guidance to students in a wide range of science units. We studied the effect of guidance on revisiting of course materials using logs of student navigation, revisions of responses, and performance on posttests.
